Jeremy Ballard is an electronic music producer and graphic designer who records music under the project name Inkblot for labels Tomlab (Germany), Audio Dregs (USA) and Zealectronic (Belgium).
At UT he studied studio art and philosophy, focusing on digital media in the form of video/sound installation and print. His visual work deals primarily with the problems of communication within a purely subjective world, utopias and metanarratives, and mind/body issues of transcendence.
The music he creates as Inkblot fuses textural and organic experimental electronics and playful and off-kilter beats with warm melodies, self-sampled instrumentation and found sounds. Alternative Press has called his debut CD The Language Game on Tomlab "a melding of post-rock atmospherics and electronic post-processing".
Along with Kurt Korthals, he is also one half of the electronic music duo Array Gun.
