The Curtains started in 2000. The current Curtains on this release is just Chris Cohen (recently from Deerhoof) singing and overdubbing piano, bass, guitar, and drums. A sweet and bitter atmosphere is spread all over the place.

Jan Lankisch from Tomlab wondered if rough pop gem "Go Lucky' was about lazy German design students failing their tests - but Cohen wouldn't say. The 'World`s Most Dangerous Woman' is a little more complex. Chris saw a missing person flyer - a man was searching for his lost love. Convinced that she had become a spy for the KGB, or was possibly involved with the Ukranian mafia (?), this flyer warned people to be careful - that she was "the world's most dangerous woman!' The colorful but ambiguous mood of the song portrays the woman's exotic adventures across the world.
