Portland's premiere pop provocateurs Parenthetical Girls present two epic sides of the bizarre in "The Plague of Marcus (Prelude)" b/w "October Love Song" … vol. Z of Tomlab's storied Alphabet Series. Originally written for The Dorothy K., Parenthetical Girls' acclaimed collaboration with experimental theater ensemble “Implied Violence”. This exclusive “band” version of “The Plague of Marcus (Prelude),” marks the song's recorded debut, and finds the Girls reaching dramatic fever pitch. Side two is a lovingly crafted tribute to Chris & Cosey's synthpop/sellout masterpiece, "October Love Song," voiced in a rare lead appearance by Parenthetical Girl Rachael Jensen.

Parenthetical Girls are presently releasing their latest full-length, Privilege, as a series of 12" EPs via their own Slender Means Society label.
